How the dates are worked out
Many holidays move from year to year, so a fixed list would go out of date. This calculator uses the rule behind each date. Fixed holidays use the same day each year, weekday holidays use rules such as the fourth Thursday, Easter uses the standard computus method, and seasons use the exact time of the equinox or solstice.

How do I calculate how many days until a date?

Does the count include today?
No. It counts the days from today to the date, so tomorrow is 1 day away.
Why does the number change each day?
Because it uses today’s date from your device, so it drops by one every day.
How do I count to my own date?

How are movable holidays like Easter found?
The calculator uses the standard rules for each holiday, so it needs no yearly update.
What are sleeps?
Sleeps are the nights before the date. It is the same as the number of days left.
